How to upgrade Internet Explorer to 128 Bit

All versions of Internet Explorer released since August 2001 are able to encrypt using 128-bit, but the versions before this date are not necessarily. This higher standard of encryption is typically used to using sites of banks and businesses, and it is highly recommended that you update the browser, according to Microsoft.
1. Identify your version of Internet Explorer. Go to the menu "Help" and click on "About Internet Explorer". The window that opens will show the number of your version. Once you've noted the number, close the window.

2. Navigate to the download page of the Encryption Pack high level of Internet Explorer, listed in the resources section below.

3. Click the Encryption Pack for the high-level version of its browser, listed right on the page.

4. In the new window that opens, click "Open". The download package of high-level encryption will be done to your computer and the update process will start automatically.

5. Click "Next" when the update begins, then "Accept" the license agreement. When the update process is finished, you can click on "Finish" and you will be prompted to restart your computer. After you have restarted, your version of Internet Explorer will have 128 bit encryption installed.
